Summary
Public: Thrown buff earthenware plate with rim and foot inlaid with red-brown and blue slip in a design incorporating wheat ears and leaf scrolled, inscribed around rim "Waste Not, Want Not". Private: Thrown buff earthenware plate with rim and foot. Inlaid with red-brown and blue coloured slips. Rim of plate has blue band with the inscription in buff "Waste Not Want Not" encircling the rim. The words are separated by roundels containing a blue centred flower with red petals. Red well, encircled by a buff scrolling motif. Central motif shows buff ears of corn radiating from a blue band that encircles a band of red with buff petal motifs enclosing a central wheel.
